The Division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) is pleased to announce the Saudi Summer Internship  2018 (SSI2018).

The CEMSE Saudi Summer Internship is an 8-12 week research programme designed to introduce in-kingdom students to topics of research in our Division.

Students will have the unique opportunity to work alongside one of our faculty members and research groups

•   Get an introduction to graduate level research

•   Experience a taste of university life at KAUST

•   Get opportunities to challenge yourself

• Gain access to unique facilities in an international environment

CEMSE provides a core multi-cultural space for passionate researchers and students to carry on curiosity-driven research at graduate level. This internship will allow you to “taste” research and to discover if this pathway, and perhaps KAUST, would be the right fit for your future.

CEMSE provide master’s degrees (M.S.), doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) and a combined track degree of M.S. /Ph.D.

Our programs are:

• Electrical Engineering (EE)

• Computer Science (CS)

• Applied Mathematics and Computational Science (AMCS)

• Statistics (Stats)

Successful internship candidates will be hosted on campus in single-sex University Housing, normally in shared accommodation in the Harbor Area (subject to availability). All affiliated costs for onboarding, accommodation, IT access and exit procedures will be financially supported by the CEMSE division at KAUST. Students will also receive a stipend to help support them* (3750 SAR per month), while on the campus.

On arrival you will be welcomed to KAUST and the CEMSE division and hosted by a research group or faculty member. To conclude the internship you will be required to present your work through a poster display to KAUST faculty, academics, students and administration.

KAUST is an International, graduate university committed to advancing science and technology through research and innovation. Located on the shores of the Red Sea, our unique environment supports students from around the world in globally significant areas of energy, water, food and environment.
