Research Interests

Microalgae is a unicellular photosynthetic microorganism and it is present in almost all ecosystems around the globe. It is rich sources of many valuable compounds such as lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, pigments and etc. Based on this interest, we isolated, identified and characterized microalgae from Red Sea water. The robust microalgae were screened for potential compounds such as lipids, carbohydrates, pigments, polysaccharides and for industrial applications.
