Having worked in the UK in the Higher Education sector for many years, a colleague mentioned KAUST one day and I was intrigued by this new University startup. After looking into KAUST further I felt that with my experience and skillset I could really contribute positively to KAUST's overall mission and vision. Not only did this turn out to be a great career move for me personally but I am extremely proud of being able to contribute to the success of KAUST to date and be part of such a wonderful organization.

Sultan Ahmed joined KAUST in 2011 in the Office of Research Services as Research Accountant, he then went on to become Center Manager for the Computational Bioscience Research Center in 2014.
Sultan is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to joining KAUST Sultan worked at various UK Higher Education Institutions.
