My goal is to channel my technical and information technology (IT) skills toward proffering lasting solutions to the various challenges facing humanity. Being in KAUST has put me several steps closer to achieving this goal.
Basit Alawode obtained his BSc degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2013 with a first-class honor. He is currently pursuing his MSc degree in electrical engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia.
He was a recipient of the MTN science and technology foundation scholarship award between 2010 and 2012, for being one of the best science and engineering undergraduates in Nigeria. His MSc degree is also being fully funded by the ministry of higher education, Saudi Arabia.
Basit’s research interests include machine learning and signal processing applications to power, control and communication systems, automation and embedded systems design and programming. He also has interests in windows, web and cross-platform mobile applications development.
