Rishikesh, obtained his Bachelor in Mathematics and Statistics in 2014 from the University of Allahabad and Master (M.Sc.) in Statistics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) in 2016. He joined the Ph.D. program in Statistics at KAUST in August 2017. His research interests focus on extreme-value statistics, spatial statistics, machine learning, and Bayesian inference, with particular attention to sub-asymptotic models for spatial extremes. After his PhD at KAUST, Rishikesh will be going to HEC Montréal, Canada, for a postdoctoral position under the joint supervision of Prof. Léo Belzile (HEC Montréal) and Prof. Johanna G. Nešlehová (McGill University), due to start in September 2022.
