There is nothing like a dream to create a sustainable technologically advanced future city. KAUST and NEOM share such a dream and naturally, they have partnered together and established the Center of Excellence for NEOM Research at KAUST to pursue all means to materialize their respective ambitions, talents, and resources and make NEOM a dream come true.

NEOM is the future smart city destination in the Tabuk Province, northwestern corner of Saudi Arabia.  The KAUST leadership, faculty, and researchers are committed to share and provide technological and technical expertise to support NEOM's blueprint and plans for innovative infrastructure and environmental stewardship.
KAUST researchers work with collaborators from various institutions around the world on ‌multidisciplinary research initiatives that focus on key smart and future city elements such as renewable energy, water production and recovery, green buildings, autonomous mobility networks, and environmental monitoring, simulations, and forecast.
