Biography

I am currently a postdoc fellow at the Innovative Technologies Laboratories (ITL), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, under Prof. Yehia Massoud. Before that I worked as a postdoc fellow at the CeNSE, IISC Bengaluru, India from September, 2020 to December, 2021 under Prof. Shankar K. Selvaraja. I have completed my Ph.D. in the field of nonlinear optics from the department of Physics, IIT Kharagpur, India in 2019 (December) under the supervision of Prof. Shailendra K. Varshney. I have done M.Sc. in Physics from Vidyasagar University, India in 2012 and B.Sc. from Burdwan University, India in 2010.

Research Interest

Nonlinear optics deals with the light-matter interactions under intense light sources. My research interest deals with several fields of nonlinear optics in optical fiber and integrated platform. I investigate enhance nonlinear light-matter interactions in low-loss advanced integrated photonic structure platform.  Currently, I am working in Spontronics where spin of electron offers extra degrees of freedom to realize nanoelectronic devices with high-efficiency and low power consumption. We are mainly focusing on integrating spintronics with nanophotonics to realize efficient active spintronic-photonic platforms.
