EE students, postdocs shine in WEP poster competition

EE students and postdocs won 5 out of 9 prizes at the WEP university-wide poster competition in all three categories. These prizes are the latest in a series of awards brought home by the EE students from similar contests. 

  • Omar Arif - Ganesh Sundaramoorthi's Postdoc, 1st prize Postdoc category, (Poster Title: Large Deformation Estimation and Object Tracking Under Object Interactions) 
  • Muhammad Arsalan - Khaled Salama's Postdoc- 2nd prize Postdoc category (Poster Title: A 5.2GHz, 0.5mW RF Powered Wireless Sensor with Dual On-Chip Antennas for Implantable Intraocular Pressure Monitoring)
  • Aftab Hussain- Muhammad Hussain's student- 3rd prize Ph.D. category (Poster Title: Silicon Nanotube FET for Energy Management in Digital Era)  
  • Abdullatif Alrabah -Tareq Alnafouri's student - 1st prize MS category (Poster Title: Receiver-based Bayesian PAPR reduction in OFDM) 
  • Mena Gadalla - Atif Shamim's student- 2nd prize MS category (Poster Title: Nano Antenna Integrated Rectifier for THZ Harvesting) 

There were more than 100 submissions all over the university and 12 faculty members (assistant professors to center directors) vote for all the shortlisted posters. The contestants were categorized based on their level of educations, not based on their programs or divisions or nature of their research (experimental vs. theoretical).
