Ankit Kumar Shaw is a visiting research student at Vision-CAIR group in the Visual Computing Center (VCC), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
Education and Early Career
Ankit is currently pursuing Master's degree in Mechanical engineering under School of Vehicle and mobility in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. His Master thesis is about Visual SLAM for Intelligent Vehicles in the Autonomous Driving Lab under the supervision of Professor Diange Yang. Before that, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, India.
Here at KAUST, he is a visiting Intern at the Vision-CAIR group learning with Prof.Mohamed Elhoseiny
Research Interest
Ankit’s primary research interests are in perception including object detection, segmentation, and visual SLAM in Autonomous Driving. He's also interested in Visual Language Navigation in ground robots as well as drones.
