Printed Electronics
December 5-6, 2021
Printed electronics (PE) is an emerging concept that can completely revolutionize how electronics are fabricated at present. Particularly suitable for large area, high volume, and flexible electronics, PE is becoming popular in both the industry as well as academia. With new applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT), billions of devices will be connected to the internet, thus large volume, low cost, and high throughput manufacturing of electronics is required. Similarly, large solar panels and displays can benefit from roll-to-roll and reel-to-reel printing technologies, which is not feasible with existing inflexible silicon-based electronics manufacturing techniques. In this master class, speakers will be discussing the potentials as well as challenges associated with PE. The talks, suitable for a generic audience, will cover a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from printed bioelectronics, flexible photovoltaic devices, wearable radio frequency antennas, and sensors to edible electronics.
