Our project proposal is approved for funding by the KAUST Competitive Research Grants Program. The title of the project is 'Extreme Classification of Complex Data with Applications to Multi-media and Recognition of Plastic Debris Floating in Seawater'. The award amount is the US $1,291,198, for 3 years (starting in April 2016).
The team will include Prof. Xiangliang Zhang (PI), Prof. Carlos Duarte (Co-I), Prof. Patrick Gallinari (External Co-I, CNRS-University Pierre et Marie Curie), Prof. Jia Deng (External Co-I, University of Michigan), Dr. Samy Bengio (Google), and Dr. Mouhamadou Cisse (KAUST).
