Matheus B. Guerrero earned his Master's degree in Probability and Statistics in 2018 from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His research combines time series and extreme value theory, with applications in neuroscience and finance. After completing his Ph.D. at KAUST, Matheus is set to continue his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton, USA, beginning in August 2023.
