The CEMSE Saudi Summer Internship is an 8-12 week research program designed to introduce in-kingdom students to topics of research in our Division.
Students will have the unique opportunity to work alongside one of our faculty members and research groups
- Get an introduction to graduate level research
- Experience a taste of university life at KAUST

CEMSE provides a core multi-cultural space for passionate researchers and students to carry on curiosity-driven research at the graduate level. This internship will allow you to "taste" research and to discover if this pathway, and perhaps KAUST, would be the right fit for your future.
CEMSE provides master's degrees (M.S.), doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) and a combined track degree of M.S. /Ph.D.
Our programs are:
- Electrical Engineering (EE)
- Computer Science (CS)
- Applied Mathematics and Computational Science (AMCS)
- Statistics (Stats)
Successful internship candidates will be hosted on campus in single-sex University Housing, normally in shared accommodation in the Harbor Area (subject to availability). All affiliated costs for onboarding, accommodation, IT access and exit procedures will be financially supported by the CEMSE division at KAUST. Students will also receive a stipend to help support them* (3750 SAR per month), while on the campus.
On arrival, you will be welcomed to KAUST and the CEMSE division and hosted by a research group or faculty member. To conclude the internship you will be required to present your work through a poster display to KAUST faculty, academics, students and administration.

ELIGIBILITY:
- Saudi Citizenship
-Cumulative GPA of 3.60 and above in a related subject.
-Good command of English (to be evaluated through an interview).
-Successfully passing all interviews.
- You should be entering into your final year of a Bachelor degree *Junior or Senior year)
