Xiangliang Zhang joins CBRC

Xiangliang Zhang, KAUST associate professor of computer science and principal investigator of the Machine Intelligence & Knowledge Engineering Lab, joined the Computational Bioscience Research Center (CBRC) on July 1, 2018. In CBRC, Xiangliang will work on the problems of modeling biological networks using machine learning models.

Xiangliang Zhang, KAUST associate professor of computer science and principal investigator of the Machine Intelligence & Knowledge Engineering Lab, joined the Computational Bioscience Research Center (CBRC) on July 1, 2018. In CBRC, Xiangliang will work on the problems of modeling biological networks using machine learning models.

She joined KAUST in 2010 as a Research Scientist after obtaining her Ph.D. from the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA) and University Paris Sud 11 in France. She became an assistant professor in 2011 and was promoted to associate professor in 2017.

Xiangliang is a member of several research organizations including the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (ECCAI) and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).

She has authored and co-authored over 90 papers in various journals and conferences.
