The KAUST Red Sea Research Conference on Frontier Technology convened scientists and government and industry leaders to explore emerging technologies, foster collaboration and translate research into impactful solutions.

Innovation thrives at the intersection of science, industry and government. This synergy was evident on November 18–19, 2024, during the KAUST Red Sea Research Conference on Frontier Technology. The event brought together scientists, experts, decision-makers and investors to explore the boundaries of research, foster collaboration, and advance transformative technological innovations.

The conference highlighted how emerging technologies can address critical regional challenges while driving global innovation. Key research topics included data network technology, cybersecurity and privacy computing, multi-dimensional multi-modality sensing, wireless and communication technology, and electro-optics.

Speakers represented a range of institutions, including KAUST, King Abdulaziz University, ARAMCO Digital Intelligence, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, University of Hail, and the Upstream Research Center at Saudi Aramco. 

The conference emphasized the importance of commercialization by facilitating discussions on translating research into practical solutions.
