King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) as a strategic partner, will host the second edition of the MENA Machine Learning Winter School (MenaML) from 24 to 29 January 2026, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers, scientists, and specialists in artificial intelligence and machine learning from the Middle East and North Africa.
The event is organized as part of efforts to support the advancement of cutting-edge scientific research and the development of specialized technical capabilities, through an intensive academic program that focuses on both the theoretical and applied aspects of artificial intelligence. The program will cover the latest developments in intelligent model engineering, AI for science, and high-efficiency computing technologies.
The event will feature participation from representatives of 16 international scientific and technology institutions, in addition to the selection of 300 researchers from among more than 2,300 applicants, through a nomination process based on scientific merit and research capabilities, reflecting the high level of competitiveness and academic excellence of the program.
The event serves as a specialized scientific platform to enhance research collaboration, build academic partnerships, and connect researchers with scientific and technological institutions, contributing to innovation and the development of scientific solutions that support development priorities across multiple sectors, including energy, health, infrastructure, and advanced technologies.
