Overview

In this talk, the author will discuss several classic number theory problems such as perfect numbers, Waring's problem, Fermat's Last Theorem, Hilbert's 8th problem, Egyptian fractions, etc., and raise some new ideas which are the variety of the classic ones, they are the combination of additive and multiplicative equations. Meanwhile, we raise several interesting problems, new applications or conjectures.

Tianxin Cai

Breif Biography

Tianxin Cai is a professor of mathematics at Zhejiang University, China. He got a Ph. D. from Shandong University when he was 24. His main research interests are Witten zeta function values, congruences module integer power, additive and multiplicative equations, history of mathematics. He is a poet and essayist as well, and he has published more than 40 books in literature, academic, and popular science works, 8 of which have been translated and published in English.
