Program Overview
The KAUST Saudi Summer Internship (SSI) is an internship research program designed to introduce Saudi university students and recent graduates to research topics in applied mathematics and computational sciences, computer science, electrical and computer engineering and statistics.
Participating students work on research projects mentored by leading scholars and experts, with the opportunity to showcase their work at the end of the program in an e-poster session.
The program features a unique structure, encompassing a variety of activities, including:
- Participating in research projects in related STEM areas
- Workshops and technical training in state-of-the-art and emerging technologies as required by the project
- Side workshops on research skills and e-poster training
- An e-poster session at the end of the program
- Engaging social events
Who Should Apply
The SSI invites candidates who meet the following criteria to apply:
- Recent Saudi graduates, senior undergraduates, or current master's students in related areas of applied mathematics, computer science, electrical and computer engineering and statistics
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.00 or higher
- Possess strong English language proficiency
- Demonstrate a strong motivation to work on research projects
