Honors & Awards

  • 2023, Ranked 4th out of 50 teams in the African robotics competition -League Of Robotics Africa- during  the 2nd edition of the African Startups Conference event- ASC-.
  • 2022, Awarded the prize of the best game concept  in a video game programming competition at the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, Algeria.
  • 2022, Won a robotics competition with a line follower and maze solver robot at the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, Algeria.

Current Position

Intern at KAUST, February  2024 – April 2024. Final year student, pursuing an engineering and master's degree in Electronics at the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, Algeria.

Education Profile

Soumia Si Youcef has earned a Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering, paving her way to enter the National Polytechnic School of Algiers in 2019. Having successfully completed the first cycle, a two-year preparatory program in Science and Technology, encompassing diverse engineering disciplines. Her academic prowess shone through as she succeeded in the school entrance exam to the second cycle and secured an 19th national rank in 2021 out of 1630 candidates,  affording her the choice to specialize in Electronics. Currently in the final year of her studies, having completed two years in her chosen specialization.

  • Conducted a seminar on the topic: Comparison of Different Techniques for Digital Image Watermarking.
  • Conducted a seminar on the topic: Mathematical Morphology for Image Segmentation.
