Working with Information System Lab (ISL), KAUST is an honor for me. The guidance from the mentors and cooperation from the juniors is unprecedented.
Waqas Aman is currently remote research intern at ISL, KAUST (March 2022-Till Date). Waqas Aman received his BS in Electronics degree with distinction from the University of Peshawar (UoP), Pakistan, in 2014. He received his MS in Electrical Engineering degree with distinction from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2016. He secured the most prestigious scholarship in Pakistan for Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Information Technology University (ITU), Pakistan, in 2016, under which he has been a Ph.D. fellow with Wireless solution Lab since Sep. 2016. He also joined the University of Glasgow (UofG), UK, as Visiting Post-Graduate Researcher (VPGR) for six months in Dec. 2019. He joined ISL, KAUST, as Remote Research Intern in March 2022.

- Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS, aka Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS)) assisted Wireless Communication,
- Terahertz (THz) Wireless Communication,
- Physical Layer Security,
- Underwater Acoustic Communication,
- Effective Capacity Analysis in Wireless Communication
- Stochastic Geometry.
