MINE members made a number of international scientific visits for collaborative research. Prof. Zhang visited Prof. Benjamin Fung at Concordia University and Prof. Gang Hua at Stevens Institute of Technology in August. Abdulhakim Qathan interned in the research group of Prof. Suojin Wang at TAMU University from June - August. Shuai Zheng attended the KDD conference and the Summer school in August. Dr. Hai Huang visited Dr. Haixun Wang at Microsoft Research Asia in August. Dr. Hengjie Song visited Baidu Inc. during September - October, and Dr. Faisal Kamiran visited Université Libre de Bruxelles in December.
