About

Caigui Jiang is a Research Scientist at the Visual Computing Center (VCC) working with Professor Helmut Pottmann at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Education and Early Career

Dr. Jiang obtained a bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering and his masters in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in China. After that, he joined KAUST to receive his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2016.

Caigui has a diverse experience in the academic and research field. In 2016, he joined Max Planck Institute for Informatics as a Postdoctoral Fellow. After that, he worked as a Research Scientist in ICSI at UC Berkeley.

Research Interest

His research interests are in geometric modeling, geometry processing, architectural geometry, computer graphics and computer vision.
