Motasem Alfarra is an Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. student in Image and Video Understanding Lab (IVUL) Group in Visual Computing Center (VCC) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) under the supervision of Professor Bernard Ghanem.
Education and Early Career
Motasem obtained his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University in Kuwait in 2018. He joined KAUST in 2019 and received his mater's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Research Interests
Motasem is interested in machine learning, computer vision, and game theory.
Honors and Awards
Motasem was awarded as the best student in the Electrical Engineering Department at Kuwait University for two consecutive years (2017-2018). He won the national debating competition and was awarded as one of the top 10 debaters in 2017.
