When I first heard about the ground-breaking ceremony of KAUST by the Late King Abdullah bin Abulaziz, I was super-excited to join the great international university being established on the shores of Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. There were multiple things that attracted me to KAUST, but the primary one was the diversity of this place. To me, KAUST is a small but fully international world where I experience and enjoy many cultures. It is a great honor for me to be a KAUSTian.
Prior to joining KAUST in May 2014, Sumaya Khattab worked as a Sales & Marketing Executive at the Park Hyatt in Jeddah. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing Management from the King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Jeddah. As a Business Administrator in the Office of the Dean, Sumaya is responsible to manage the hiring process for postdoctoral fellows, research scientists, and consultants in the CEMSE division. She handles the general business administrative activities and the on boarding process for the new faculty members.
