Valerio Mazzone is a PhD student at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where he joined Andrea Fratalocchi’s group, Primalight, since summer 2014.
Valerio graduated in physics at University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy, with a MS Thesis about a computational study of DNA translocation in nanopore.
His BS and MS studies focused on condensed matter and many-body systems.
Before joining KAUST he collaborated with prof. Walter Schirmacher on a theoretical study of viscoelesticity of glass using coherent potential approximation. His current work regards the possibility to harness thermal noise to develop new photonic based applications.
