Dr. Gao Yang is a Research Specialist in the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at KAUST. His research focuses on radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs), AI-driven algorithms and optimization techniques for RF/microwave devices.

Biography

Dr. Gao Yang received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Before joining KAUST, he served as an Academic Scholar at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China. He also held a joint appointment as an Academic Researcher at a collaborative research center established between SUSTech and Starway Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou, China. He led and participated in several industry-academia collaborative projects focused on the development of RF integrated circuits (RFICs) and microwave devices, with partners including Huawei Co., Ltd. and China Electronics Zhenhua Fu Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China. He is currently a Research Specialist in the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on RF circuit design, AI-driven algorithms, and the optimization of RF/microwave devices. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 publications in refereed journals and conferences.
