Gyan Deep verma works as a postdoctoral fellow at the Computer Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division (CEMSE), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini in the Communication Theory Lab (CTL).
Education and Early Career
Gyan Deep Verma received his B.Tech. degree in Electronics Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2015, and his M.Tech. degree in Communication Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, Bihar, India, in 2018. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, in 2023.
From 2023 to 2025, he served as a Principal Project Scientist/Post Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India, where he led the design and development of a free space optical (FSO) communication system.
Scientific Interest
Gyan Deep Verma's research interests include theoretical analysis, emulation, design and development of FSO/RF systems, adaptive optics, intelligent reflecting surfaces, hybrid automatic repeat request protocols, and chaos shift keying.
