Biography

KAUST alumna Jing Ren is an assistant professor at the Université de Montréal, where she leads research in shape analysis, geometry processing and digital fabrication. Her work spans computer graphics and computer vision, with a focus on developing computational methods for understanding and creating geometric forms.

Ren earned her Ph.D. from KAUST under the supervision of Professors Peter Wonka and Maks Ovsjanikov. She subsequently joined ETH Zurich's Interactive Geometry Lab as a senior researcher before launching her independent academic career in Canada.
