About
Louay Hamad is currectly a Master's student in the Communication Theory Lab (CTL) under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
Education and Early Career
Louay started his undergraduate studies with two preparatory years in physics and chemistry at the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies of Sfax. He then ranked among the top candidates in the National Competition to Enter Engineering Schools in Tunisia, placing 8th out of around 1200 students. Louay joined Tunisia Polytechnic School, where he pursued an engineering degree in Polytechnic Engineering.
Research Insterest
He joined KAUST as a research intern under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini and Dr. Ardimas Andi Purwita. His research interests include wireless communications, HAPS, low-altitude networks, and digital twins. He is now joining KAUST as a master's student in Fall 2026.
