Luca Galimberti is a Ph.D. candidate in the Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences (AMCS) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), advised by Prof. Matteo Parsani, where his research focuses on the development of numerical methods for aeroacoustics and aerodynamics of aeronautical applications.
Biography
Luca Galimberti is a Ph.D. candidate in the Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences (AMCS) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He is concurrently pursuing a dual Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where he also earned his M.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and his B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering.
Expertise and Interests
Luca's research focuses on the development of computational techniques for aeroacoustics and aerodynamics. In particular, he investigates high-order methods for the noise prediction of Urban Air Mobility vehicles in complex scenarios. His work sits at the intersection of computational fluid dynamics, aeroacoustics and aerodynamics, aimed at aeronautical applications.
