Postdoctoral Positions in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Two postdoc positions are available immediately in our group. Candidates with previous experience in some of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:
- structural biology
- systems biology,
- biological sequence analysis
- machine learning
- statistics.
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field is required. Successful candidates are expected to have a good publication record, self-motivation, and good command of English.
Successful candidates will have opportunities to work on collaborative research projects with Stanford University, University of Rome, Texas A&M University, and research centers and core facilities at KAUST. The salary is highly competitive depending on qualifications. Income is tax-exempt and has very attractive compensation and benefits packages. Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Our group has openings for two Ph.D. students. The students are expected to work in the areas of bioinformatics and computational biology. The students will be funded for a summer internship with KAUST academic or industry partners, such as Stanford University, UC Berkeley, University of Cambridge, and IBM.
Successful candidates are expected to be self-motivated and hard-working and have good command of English. Background in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field is preferred.
