Early stage researcher focused on laying the foundations for the emerging field of Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC). His work aims to incorporate smart sensing solutions leveraging machine learning-aided Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) into the next generation of fiber-based telecommunication networks, as well as their integration into the realm of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Ahmad R. Dhaini was an off-campus Postdoctoral Fellow from University of Waterloo, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Basem Shihada at the Networking Research Lab, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from AUB in 2004. He then earned his M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2006. His Master’s dissertation was nominated for the best thesis award.
