Top honors for KAUST students at OMOUS-2024

We are happy to share the achievement of KAUST students, Kerven Durdymyradov and Charles Edward Sexton, at the Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2024) held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, from March 3-8, 2024.

In the individual competition over 500 contestants from from Bulgary, China, Indonesia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan competed, and more than 50 teams competed in the team competition.

Charles Sexton won a bronze medal in the individual category and his team led by Kerven, won a silver medal in the team competition.

Kerven is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science under the Supervision of Professor Mikhail Moshkov and  Charles is a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of  Associate Professor Sami Al-Ghamdi.

Their participation marked the second time KAUST was represented in Turkmenistan.
