Mubarak Adetunji Ojewale is a Postdoc researcher at KAUST with a Ph.D. from the University of Porto, Portugal. His doctoral studies focused on innovative data transmission control in distributed real-time embedded systems. Before his doctoral studies, Mubarak gained valuable industry experience as a Technology and Innovation consultant at Discovery Cycle Professionals. In this role, he provided consultancy services to various clients, including technology and research establishments, international consortia, and national and sub-national governments.
Mubarak holds a First Class Honours bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and a distinction-grade master's degree from the African University of Science and Technology. He has received numerous fellowship and grant awards, including the Total E&P National Undergraduate Merit Award, the Nelson Mandela Institute (NMI) International Masters Scholarship Award, the Portuguese National Ph.D. Fellowship and several travel grants from esteemed organizations such as ACM and IEEE.
