Ericsson and King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) enter a research and development (R&D) partnership in Saudi Arabia for three years. For instance, one of the projects funded by this partnership will be lead by Distinguished Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini and will focus on hybrid radio frequency (RF)-Free Space Optics (FSO) systems to guarantee uninterrupted high-rate backhaul in 6G dense networks.
