KAUST is an oasis of beautiful minds living and working in an oasis of the desert.

KAUST provided me with an excellent environment and infrastructure to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of signal processing and wireless communications.

Hadi Sarieddeen is a postdoctoral fellow in the Communication Theory Lab (CTL) and the Information System Lab (ISL) at KAUST, working under the supervision of Distinguished Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini and Prof. Tareq Al-Naffouri, respectively.

Education

Hadi Sarieddeen received the B.E. degree (summa cum laude) in computer and communications engineering from Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Beirut, Lebanon, in 2018.

He was the recipient of the General Khalil Kanaan Award at NDU in 2013 for ranking first on the graduating class and a recipient of the National Council for Scientific Research Doctoral Scholarship Award at AUB in 2016 for his Ph.D. work.

Research Interests

Dr. Sarieddeen’s research interests are in the areas of communication theory and signal processing for wireless communications, with emphasis on terahertz communications, and ultra-massive MIMO systems. He has co-chaired conference tracks, co-edited journal special issues, and organized and presented tutorials and webinars that promote research on signal processing for terahertz communications.

Publications

We have recently introduced TeraMIMO, a channel simulator for wideband ultra-massive MIMO THz communications. The MATLAB package and user interface are available on GitHub (https://lnkd.in/grh7aXx), and the corresponding paper is available on arXiv (https://lnkd.in/gqwrMNY).

If you are interested in THz communications, please check our tutorial (https://arxiv.org/abs/2005.13176) for a comprehensive overview of the THz-specific signal processing considerations and for interesting problem formulations:
