Husam N. Alshareef is a Professor of Material Science and Engineering in the Physical Science and Engineering Division and Principal Investigator of Functional Nanomaterials & Devices Lab at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Prof. Alshareef is also affiliated with the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program in the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) division.

Research Interests

Prof. Alshareef's research interests are in developing nanomaterials for Energy Storage, Electronics, and Sensors.

Current projects include: mobile ion batteries (Li, Na, Zn, K), electrochemical supercapacitors and microsupercapacitors, wearable electronics and sensors, transparent electronics, and thermoelectric materials.
