Muneer Al-ZuBi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Communication Theory Lab (CTL), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini.

Education and Early Career

He received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia, 2020. He obtained his master’s degree in electrical engineering/wireless communication from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid, Jordan, 2014. Also, he obtained his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering/communication and software engineering from Al-Balqa Applied University, Irbid, Jordan, 2010. Before joining KAUST, he was a postdoc researcher at Luxembourg University, Luxembourg, and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. He was also a researcher, tutor, and R&D engineer at various universities and companies.  

Scientific Interest 

Muneer’s research interests include radio wave propagation modeling, RF measurements, molecular communication, and Internet of Bio-Nano Things (IoBNT).

Honors and Awards

Muneer is a recipient of both the UTS President’s Scholarship and the International Research Scholarship, awarded to highly ranked international higher-degree research students who demonstrate exceptional research potential and outstanding academic achievement, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia, (2016-2020). Also, he got the first rank in the class with 1st class honors in both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and Al-Balqa Applied University, respectively. He is a recipient of the Jordan Scientific Research Support Fund (SRSF) scholarship awarded to support outstanding master’s degree students in Jordan, (2011-2014). He received the best digital poster presentation award in the Research Showcase of the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia, 2018.
