You will learn basic search techniques – using Boolean operators, keyword search, concept search, truncation, etc. Two major interdisciplinary scientific databases – Web of Science and Scopus, as well as CEMSE specific resources in KAUST library collections will be presented.

You will learn basic search techniques – using Boolean operators, keyword search, concept search, truncation, etc. Two major interdisciplinary scientific databases – Web of Science and Scopus, as well as CEMSE specific resources in KAUST library collections will be presented. 

Brief Biography

Nevena Tomic is a Library Subject Specialist for PSE (interim CEMSE) with more than 18 years of academic library experience. As a Subject Specialist Nevena provides support for faculty and student research, instruction and scholarly communication. She is dedicated to promoting Open Science to the research community (by advocating for OA resources, and OA publishing through transformative agreements with publishers).
