During this talk, we shall deep dive into the neutral atoms quantum machine of PASQAL to learn what makes such a machine tick. Following along the full stack approach of Pasqal, we will focus on how such a computer can be used to address hard combinatorial problems, machine learning-related tasks, as well as quantum simulation-based problems present in all walks of life.

Abstract

Analog quantum computing is a prime candidate to highlight the near-term benefits of the technology while waiting for the Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ)-era to mature into fault tolerance. During this talk, we shall deep dive into the neutral atoms quantum machine of PASQAL to learn what makes such a machine tick. Following along the full stack approach of Pasqal, we will focus on how such a computer can be used to address hard combinatorial problems, machine learning-related tasks, as well as quantum simulation-based problems present in all walks of life.

Brief Biography

Krisztian Benyo obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 2018 from the University of Bordeaux in France. While his main area of expertise was Computational Fluid Dynamics, during his prior consulting roles he gradually shifted toward quantum algorithms, their implementation, and the exploitation of quantum technologies in the various industrial sectors. Previously an R&D project lead, he took up technical business development and is currently aiding in scientific and technical exchanges in various settings for PASQAL as an expert in quantum solutions development.
