KAUST is a very nice place to conduct cutting-edge research, whilst working with a decent professional team.
Communications engineering revolutionized our daily life in recent decades and I ‘m very interested to participate in pushing the limits in this area of study.

Amr is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Communication & Computing Systems Laboratory (CCSL) supervised by Professor Ahmed M. Eltawil at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Education and Early Career

Amr earned his bachelor degree in communications and computer engineering from Cairo University Faculty of Engineering (CUFE) in 2012. He worked in Cairo University for Wireless Studies (CWS) center after graduation. He joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2014 and earned his Master degree in 2016 and his PhD in 2021.

Research Interest

Amr ‘s research is focused in the area of Visible Light Communications (VLC), and green communications. He’s currently working on resource allocation problems for VLC systems to find optimal tradeoffs between spectral efficiency, energy harvesting and illumination aspects.
