KAUST is a wonderful place for scientific work. Here, an unusual atmosphere of comfort, friendliness and respect surrounds a scientist. Work at the university allows collaborating with the most famous experts, to learn the most modern scientific approaches. This allows a scientist to maximize his/her potential. Working here, I am gaining valuable experience in scientific work and found new prospects for the development of my scientific approaches.

Oleg Gorshkov is a Visiting Researcher working in collaboration with Professor Ombao at the Biostatistics Group of the Statistic Program of KAUST.

Research Interest

Oleg's research interests lie in fields such as fractal analysis and chaos theory; focusing on the following main topics:

  • analysis of bio-medical time series signals (R-R intervals, stabilograms, encephalograms, step width and stride length time series );
  • bio-medical images (thermograms).

Editorial Position

Reviewer, IEEE Signal Processing Letters
