About

Yasser obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Professor Boon Ooi at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He worked on his master's thesis, "Energy harvesting in random medium" at Oxford University under the supervision of James Kirkpatrick, Ph.D. (Oxford), Prof. Boon Ooi (KAUST), and Prof. Andrea Fratalocchi (KAUST). He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in Spring 2010. Previously, Yasser has worked as a graduate student researcher at the Center for Advanced Molecular Photovoltaics (CAMP) at Stanford University.  For his research project, he worked on the synthesis of Silver Nanowires for Transparent Electrode purpose. He also previously undertook an internship at Zyvex Labs, Texas, where he built an automated tip etcher for Atomically Precise Manufacturing. Yasser Khan is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, in Prof. Zhenan Bao’s Group. Yasser completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, in Prof. Ana Claudia Arias’ Group. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. Yasser’s research focuses mainly on wearable medical devices, with an emphasis on flexible bioelectronic and biophotonic sensors.
