About

Ciril Bohak was a Research Scientist in the NANOVIS Group, working with Professor Ivan Viola at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He was a member of the Nanovisualization Research Group and works on development of novel rendering and visualization methods for visualizing data at the nano scale.

Education and Early Career

Ciril obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Ljubljana. He started his career as researcher in Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Multimedia researching in fields Music Information Retrieval, Computer Graphics and Human-Computer Interaction. He continued his career as full-time Teaching Assistant at Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, where he was teaching divers CS related courses.

Research Interest

His current scientific focus is in Volumetric and Neural rendering and Data Visualization. He is developing and applying new rendering and visualization methods at nanometer scale for interactive and intuitive structure visualization.
