About Dong Hyoun Na Dong Hyoun Na Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering High throughput satellite systems MIMO beamforming systems Dong Hyoun Na is a Ph.D. student in the Communication Theory Lab (CTL) under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Education and Early Career Dong Hyoun Na received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea University in 2017. He is also currently a Ph.D. student at Korea University. Research Interest Dong Hyoun Na is working on the area of wireless communication and high throughput satellite communication. Education Profile Ph.D. in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Events Presented Events Dec 11 - Dec 17, 2022 Performance Analysis and Throughput Maximization of Satellite Communication Systems with Randomly Located Users Dong Hyoun Na, Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering Dec 11, 08:00 - 10:00 B1 L3 R3119 satellite communication Satellite communication (SatCom) is an essential component of next-generation wireless communications. The existing terrestrial network will be overwhelmed due to the rapid growth of demand for data and serving remote areas by using only terrestrial networks is demanding. In addition, terrestrial communications are susceptible to natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. In order to overcome these disadvantages of the terrestrial communication systems, SatCom systems are being deployed and covering remote or sparsely populated areas. However, research on SatCom is still not enough and it has not been studied as much as on terrestrial communication.
