Mohamed AbdelKader is a well-rounded engineer with strong research and hands-on experience in the fields of robotics and control engineering. He has designed and used several robotic components and platforms with recent emphasis on drone control and navigation. He has also acquired necessary professional skills for applications in the fields of mechanical design, control design, optimization, machine learning, robot software development and has strong interest in swarm technologies and applications. Mohamed is also know as Mohamed Abdelkader Zahana. 

Competencies

  • Fluent in several programming and scripting languages including C/C++, Python, Lua, MATLAB, developed two open-source MATLAB toolboxes for flight simulation interface and autopilot interface;
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated for continuous self-learning and broadening my knowledge in different fields; completed an online Coursera course in Aerial Robotics, self-learned computer vision techniques which I used in aerial object tracking, and image classification;
  • Holds excellent verbal and written communication skills gained during academic degrees in delivering high quality research papers, conference presentations, lab tutorials.
