Biography

Named CEO of ASJC in 2014, Mohanad has been overseeing all operations in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and Yemen. Previously, he held the role of Director of Operations in 2010 where he was responsible for the Company’s day-to-day operations, including recruitment, IT, strategy, marketing and customer relationships. Since becoming the CEO, Mohanad has been driving the Company’s geographical expansion to include Egypt, Lebanon and Yemen, with more countries to come. He also expanded the product offerings to not only include HVAC products but also fire and security systems, building management systems and energy solutions to name a few. Under his leadership, ASJC maintains the largest HVAC installed base and the largest specialized aftermarket team anywhere in the Middle East. Believing technology is a key market differentiator, Mohanad led the Company’s manufacturing transformation by opening YORK’s largest Manufacturing Complex in the MENA region in KEAC. It is the only factory among Johnson Controls’ 50+ factories worldwide to have manufacturing and R&D labs in one location. It is also the first factory to reach Johnson Controls’ JCMS’s top level - level 5 - for Design for Manufacturing. Making localization a cornerstone of his market penetration, ASJC now manufactures more HVAC products than ever before, allowing ASJC market share and exports to shoot up since then. Using new digital technologies to ensure consistent customers satisfaction and unfiltered customer feedback, ASJC was recently awarded all ISO’s four Customer Management certificates, the first of any Saudi company to do so. Prior to joining ASJC, Mohanad served at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington DC where he liaised with and represented his country to the two chambers of the US Congress, the Senate and House of Representatives. Before that, he worked at the World Bank Group. Mohanad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance, a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degrees in Information Systems, and a Doctorate in Engineering in Information Technology. He completed executive education programs in Science and Technology, Innovation and International Business. Mohanad currently serves as a board member in various companies and NGOs including:
