Two KAUST students selected for the Three Minute Thesis 3MT competition final at IMS2017

This year, KAUST took the lion's share at the Three Minute Thesis (3MT(R)) contest at the annual IEEE microwave symposium IMS2017, with two students selected to take part in the final and one of them - Dr. Farhan Abdul Ghaffar - finishing within the top 4 and getting Honorable Mention for his presentation.

Haoran Zhang

Haoran Zhang is a Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering department at Integrated Microwaves Packaging Antennas & Circuit Technology Research Group under the supervision of Professor Atif Shamim at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Research Interests Millimeter-wave on-chip antenna design and Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC)​ design 5G Array Antenna in Package design Education Profile Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, University of Electronics of Science and Technology, China (2013 - 2017).

Farhan Abdul Ghaffar

Farhan Abdul Ghaffar graduated with a Ph.D. degree and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Professor Atif Shamim at Integrated Microwaves Packaging Antennas & Circuit Technology (IMPACT) Research Group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Currently, Farhan is working as a Post Doctoral Fellow/Instructor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT)​.
