Arwa Bin Raies defends her thesis proposal

Arwa Bin Raies, a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Professor Vladimir Bajic, defended her thesis proposal on May 14, 2018. Her topic, "Contributions to Computational Methods for Association Extraction from Biomedical Data: Applications to Text Mining and In Silico Toxicology", was well-received by thesis committee chairperson Professor Vladimir Bajic and committee members Professor Mikhail Moshkov and Professor Takashi Gojobori. She expects to finalize and defend her thesis later this year.
