Statistics 2020/2021: The current challenges that confront the statistical data sciences deal with the need to efficiently process massive data, build powerful statistical models and develop efficient computational tools. Methodology Development in Bioinformatics

The Computer Science (CS) program and Computational Bioscience Research Center (CBRC) of the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks in methodology development in bioinformatics. Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields, as well as a strong publication record in the top-tier venues of their respective areas. While the outstanding candidates in related fields will be considered, we are particularly interested in the following areas: 1) novel algorithm and method development in bioinformatics; and 2) data science and AI technique development in health or bioscience. Read more

Researcher Positions 2020

Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics:  We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join us in the Bio-Ontology Research Group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. The group is known for developing bioinformatics methods that combine Semantic Technologies and omics data analysis, in particular for protein function prediction and identification of causative variants, and has a strong commitment to developing Free and Open Source Software in bioinformatics.  Read more
